Monday -
April 6th, 2009 was opening day, and we were there for lunch!
After a short wait in the spacious lobby with ample benches (AND
MAMA'S Labeled T-Shirts, Coffee Mugs, Pot Holders,
Spatulas, Peach Butter, & MORE), the friendly
receptionist lead us to a cozy section where we met our new
friends Ray & Loye
Jane, after a short wait our exceptional
waitress Rachael took our drink order (there is no 'traditional
menu', once you order your drinks you're done till the home style
food starts arriving) , and shortly after that she arrived with
bread, molasses butter, peach butter, biscuits and cornbread and
what may be the the best home made vegetable soup we ever
had! Then after a short wait, here came Rachael with a cart
full of food including
buttery corn, country fried steak, mashed potatoes (AWESOME),
macaroni and cheese, brown gravy, fried chicken, roasted
pork loin, green beans, pinto beans with stick onions, and white
sausage gravy. Then after the delicious feast, Rachael
brought of some delicious banana pudding! We hope you enjoy
the food and farmhouse atmosphere as much as we did! <steve
